*Flexes.. paws... claws?*

Here's Aya's second epic phailing which I promised to report :D

Plans were made on Friday as usual; just that in the midst of discussing, Aya's laptop decides to go haywire and her communicating programme stops working which resulted in text messaging Serena via phone at 2am in the morning. How brilliant Aya!

Anyways, the plan was to have Serena come fetch Aya at noon to go out to buy food supplies prior to the event to not risk starving in case they were not able to get hold on food during the event :P Yes, apparently the girls care very much for their tummies :P *cough*

Serena had met up with her high school friends for breakfast and organised a small group to head to Bon Odori together. One of the friends, M-chan decided that she wanted to tag along for our food shopping. So Serena was dropped off at Aya's place first because she wanted to use the computer to check a few things while M-chan who was incharge of driving them went back to her house to pick up her other half.

It took a while for M-chan to come to Aya's place to pick them up so Serena tried to call her on her handphone but Serena dialed Aya's number instead.

Aya: Uhhh... why are you calling me?
Serena: Ehhhhhhh!!! Wooops, sorry sorry!

ORZ

What's the point of calling someone who's sitting right next to you? D;

M-chan appeared eventually and off they went to go food shopping~
They had a little trouble looking for parking since it was a weekend and the place was packed with people but M-chan used her scary stalker skills to stalk people who were heading to their car and they managed to find a place to park the car at last.

They figured that they'd have quite a lot of time to spare since it was only food shopping. Aya and Serena were to only buy enough for themselves since Serena's other friends didn't respond when Serena asked them if they wanted her to buy extra for them.

Aya was hungry because she had not eaten anything since she woke up so they sat down to have a simple lunch while chatting away.

They bought what they came for after that with plenty of time to spare. Then M-chan said she needed to go somewhere so Serena and Aya went walking around. Serena said she was looking for a small pouch or bag to go with her outfit of the evening so the both of them walked around looking for that to pass time while waiting for M-chan to get back.

Serena managed to get a super cute looking draw-string bag with a maneki-neko attached to it. Flabby approves of this bag! Nyan! :3

By the time Serena and Aya managed to meet up with M-chan again, they were miraculously running late already or rather, M-chan was running late because she had planned to leave super early to avoid parking and traffic crowds.

They rushed back to their respective houses and got ready as soon as possible.

Serena drove over with Aya to M-chan's place because Serena needed help for putting on the yukata. Aya had watched videos on how to put it on before but that was quite a while back so she couldn't remember much from it. The whole group of them left as soon as everyone gathered. They got there as soon as they could and managed to find a parking space but it was slightly far though Aya personally didn't mind the walking.

Kyaa~ When they walked into the event, there were so many people wearing pretty bright coloured yukatas! The cutest among them all were the little children in their tiny yukatas running all over the place~ It definitely feels nice and festive!

The group splits up into pairs to go around the many stalls to buy food and met up later to sit down and eat together.

After Aya and Serena had already bought their food, they tried contacting the others but the phone reception in the area was rather bad so it was hard to contact anyone. They spotted M-chan who was sitting with a different group of friends. Serena went to approach M-chan but for some strange reason, Serena tapped the person who was sitting next to M-chan on the shoulder instead of M-chan herself ORZ The girl gave Serena the 'uhhh?' look and Serena ORZ-ed on the spot. M-chan introduced Aya and Serena to the group of people. Actually, Aya already knows most of them through reading or seeing photos of them online. To be honest, she was a little 'star-struck-ish' since they were people she admired. She had this pikapika look in her eyes *o* Hahahaha!

The irony was that there was space to sit next to M-chan's group of friends but Aya and Serena were intimidated and felt a little awkward if they were to sit near them. Aya and Serena waited around until their group of friends reunited then they found a spot to sit in the corner and had their food. Itadakimasuuu~!

Aya: We should invest in a mat next time so we don't have to sit directly on the grass :3
R-chan: Ehhh! I have one?
Serena: Ehhhh! You should have told us~!
R-chan: You didn't ask for it? :P Besides, it's my first time here so how am I suppose to know that a mat would be needed? :P
Group: LOL

It was just a little bit before they finished their food and they noticed that the place where they were sitting had quite a lot of red ants ORZ

They finished off their food and decided to go walk it off before the dances start so they walked a biiiiiig round around the stadium till the dances started. They joined in the first and second dance while resting in between.

It was before the third dance that M-chan was frantically trying to get a hold of Serena because they wanted to leave early before there was a mass exodus and epic traffic jams. They met up and left the place. Aya had a headache from all the noise and people but she enjoyed herself a lot. Happy times are happy <3

Aya's life has been eventful the last two weeks :D
This is happy news for her.

It's happier news for me because I got to meet the awesome playmate, Bratty and laugh at our masters phailing moments together >:D

After having read local forums, Serena and Aya planned approximately a month beforehand to attend two events together. The first one being an ACG (anime, comics and games) convention and the second, a Japanese cultural festival.

This one will be about the said ACG event :D

Aya is a hopeless driver even though she successfully passed her driving test. She is nothing more than a 'paper driver' (paper drivers are drivers who have a driver's license but do not drive). Oye oye, what's the point of taking the license in the first place!?

Her only hope is to rely on Serena to drive them both there. However, Serena is not familiar with the area where the convention is being held. They tried their utmost best to make preparations so that they would not get lost on the way.

*Scoffs at their futile attempts*

Unfortunately, neither of them have handy GPS systems to guide them there. The only help they'd be able to get is by using a handy website that draws a map for you all the way from your house to the event venue. Aya was incharge of getting that very importat map printed for their little excursion.

They had originally planned a week prior to the event to leave at 10am in the morning as the event starts at 11am but just the day before the event, under unforeseen circumstances, Serena's morning had to be taken up by some other more pressing matter. Thus, the departure time was postponed to 1pm. Maa, it didn't matter too much since Aya and Serena aren't into much anime, comics or games nowadays.

The only thing they were looking forward to at the convention was an exhibition of...

pretty...

boys...

uhh...

yeah.

Last minutely, Serena's brother and a few of otouto-san's friends decided to tag along. So it took quite a while before Serena came over to pick Aya to leave. Otouto-san's friends decided to drive a separate car although they did not know the way to the venue. Serena suggested that they photocopied the map that Aya had printed out for their reference. After all that was cleared up, finally, shuupatsuu!!!

Serena's car was leading the way while otouto-san's friends were to follow behind. With that said, one would obviously remember the car registration number of the one is to follow right? That's only natural isn't it? Especially when the map which was photocopied did not really come in useful because all the details on the map could not be seen!

Ja ja jaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnn!!!

Very quickly, otouto-san's friends followed a car that was... not the car Serena was driving. Serena spotted their car in front of hers. USO! OYE OYE OYE! Don't be simply following look alike cars oye!

A turn was coming up--- but otouto-san's friends were following the wrong car and did not make the turn...

Otouto-san calls the friends up and says "You were following the wrong car..."
Serena was literally orz-ing her car seat because she didn't really know where she was and that made it almost impossible to be able to guide them back to the correct route.

Aya sat quietly at the back most of the time after she had pass the printed map to otouto-san to help Serena navigate their way there while she was driving. She had very little confidence in her map reading skills thinking that elder people would probably do a better job at it. Iya iya, that was quite entertaining in itself.

Half way there and otouto-san isn't being of much help because he apparently can't read maps. He insisted that we followed road signs instead. It was then Aya realised that otouto-san was reading the map backwards...

EHHHHH!?

USO DESHOU!?

Maa, getting there was relatively straightforward and as according to the map-- which Aya could read a little.

Another slight problem was that they did not know which was to the convention hall from the parking lot.

There were lots of signs on the road to the venue.

At the venue, there were lots of signs for parking spaces.

But at the parking spaces, there weren't any signs to the hall at which the event was being held!!!

Walking with a bit of intuition and then following small groups of people lead them to the hall! Yatta! We reached safely!

A little while later, otouto-san left to reunite with his friends who got lost on the way but managed to find their way there eventually.

Serena and Aya spotted the exhibition booth that they came for rather quickly and zoooooomed straight for all the kirakira looking boys.

Serena was proudly wearing her official T-shirt and people who were manning the booth noticed it instantly! Uwah! The power of fangirls are great!

From there on, it was a lot of flailing with random fellow fangirls at high pitches and laughing non-stop. Spare meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Maa, they met nice people which shared their love for their precious pretty boys. They were rather impressive too with their huge huge collection of official merchandise and years of fangirling.

Aya felt a little inferior to them as this would only be her second year in the fandom come November. What matters most is the love yo! Don't worry!

After having squealing for quite a long time, Serena and Aya decided to go outside the hall to see if there was anything interesting to drink or eat. They were thirsty after all that fangirling. They found a nice bench to sit on and there was a nice breeze blowing while they refreshed themselves with cold drinks.

After that they decided to leave the event because they had to be back before dinner.

This was the most epic phailed thing I've ever seen.

They couldn't find the exit. They drove a whole round the big big buildings but they couldn't find the exit!? What are you doing!? Taking a tour here of all places!?

The exit sign was placed unstrategically and the turning to the exit was abrupt.

Another phail.

They got out but didn't know how to get on the highway to get back ORZ

Aya had only printed a map on how to get there but not one to get back home!!!

You know, girls, roads don't always work both ways. You can't simply read a map backwards. Actually, you even had a problem reading a map normally and you want to attempt to read a map backwards!?

They went round for abit with otouto-san randomly assuming that the building looked familiar and that he saw them on the way to the venue.

ORZ!

That. Is. Not. Helping.

Otouto-san's friends called otouto-san and said that they think they know where we made a wrong turn so they led the way instead.

Ahh! We're on the correct road again. Thank goodness!

Demo, after we got on the right road again, otouto-san's friends insisted that Serena's car lead again. Is that such a wise idea when no one in the car really knows where they're going!?

They got lost for a bit again but with a little luck, they managed to make it safely back to the highway and it was smooth sailing from then on.

Here's a very valuable lesson: PRINT A 'HOW TO GET BACK' MAP NEXT TIMEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

The End.

Flabby reporting.

I've had trouble deciding on which epic phail Ayane episode I should share with you, lovely dear readers.

I've been contemplating between her pimple episode and her braces one.

I'm going to go with the braces one because the pimple one would probably end up a little too... graphic and I suppose Ayane would want to have at least a tiny bit of dignity left for when she leaves the house to hunt for her 'once-a-day' meal.

Braces.

Ayane was set on a new journey in her life to get a nicer, straighter set of teeth. She had endured all the initial procedures and the big day which her braces actually get fixed in was on Thursday. She slept at 5am-ish on the previous day by the way. How clever of you Aya. *sarcasm*

Miraculously, she managed to wake up on time. Ate a little bit and set off to the orthodontist with her sister.

Having the braces fixed it was roughly an one hour affair. Though it hurt a bit here and there, it wasn't anything too unbearable.

I shall add a little small episode at the dental clinic here:
On Monday morning, the same week, the two sisters had an appointment at the dental clinic as well. While Aya was getting her teeth treated in the dental office with her sister sitting in a corner in the same room watching, there was another dental office. The dental clinic has two dentists. In the other office, Aya and her sister could hear the familiar sounds of that activity. That activity being, scaling and cleaning. The high pitched noises that came from the tool that carried out that activity is unmistakable. However, along with the high pitched noises were high pitched squeals coming from the same room. Ahhh~ Someone doesn't like their teeth getting cleaned. Aya doesn't deny that the scaling and cleaning process does hurt but "Ehhh!? Making sounds like that in a dental clinic will definitely scare people wouldn't it!?"

Anyways, back to the original story, Aya got her braces fixed in and popped by a shop to buy takeaway porridge to have at home. She poured the porridge in a bowl when she got home and left it on the dining table for it to cool.

After about five minutes, she went back to eat it. While eating happily with her sis, relieved that her braces didn't hurt too much and that she still could talk normally--- BOING!

Eh?

"Owwwww!"

Ehhhh?

"I think something came out"

Aya proceeded to ask her sister to inspect her braces for her.

"Uhhh yeah. I think so too."

Aya went to the mirror to have a look for herself. A piece of the braces unglued itself from one of her tooth which was awkwardly positioned.

EHHH!? Aya-san you have some pretty amazing teeth there.

A little distressed, Aya called up the dental clinic and asked what should be done. They asked her to come again and they'll have it fixed for her but it was nearing their lunch break so Aya had to wait a hour before she could go.

Aya decided to have a shower while waiting for time to pass.

BOING!

Eh? Not another one!?

This time, the coloured piece of one of the pieces that is stuck to one of her tooth came off.

EHHHHHHHHHHHHHH????

Maaa, everything got fixed at the dental clinic in the end.

Aya-san you have some pretty amazing teeth there.

Aya wakes up and checks her handphone for the time.

Eeeps! It's 2:30pm.

Maa~ It's fine since she didn't have anything planned for the day.
Text message? There's a text message for Aya on her handphone.

She reads it, "Aya can you pls water the plants in d garden?".
Eeeps! It was sent from Aya's mother at 8:19am.

Okan~ I don't think watering plants at 2:30pm is such a good idea, right?
Aya continues lazing around for the day with regret in her heart. She told herself that she'd water the plants in the evening when it wasn't so hot.

Aya fell asleep.

She woke up later and checked the time: 9:00pm.

Eeeps! She overslept! How could you Aya!?

Mother knocks on her door and sticks her head in to ask if she watered the plants. In a very desperate manner, she said, "uhhh? Water plants?".

Mother: I SMSed you to water the plants for me in the morning.
Aya: Ohh? Uhhh? Maybe I didn't see it. I didn't check my phone. *acts like she's checking her phone now* Ahhh! I received your message. I just... didn't see it. Sorry!
Mother: What were you doing the whole day?
Aya: Uhhh... I wasn't feeling very well so I was sleeping.

Gomen Okan! I'll water the plants next time! ORZ

Aya, you're one naughty child!

The day before yesterday.

The same day as the day Aya went to get her Kanjani8 calendar.

After happily purchasing the goods, the rabid fangirls were pooped so they decided to grab a bite before heading home since they were relatively quick and had time to spare.

Ja Ja Ja Jaaan!

But they were at a rather classy place. They didn't have normal snack vendors around. Even if there were, they were pricey. The girls (or more specifically, Aya) was broke after having purchased the goods.

DAIHEN!

They ended up at the flashy expensive-looking supaa's bakery and decided to grab a few buns or sandwiches to munch on before they head back for dinner with their respective families.

Aya innocently spotted her favourite egg sandwich. She doesn't usually like tuna or sardine sandwiches because she dislikes strong fishy smells. She was quick with her decision. She grabbed a bottle of apple juice with aloe vera bits to go with her sandwich. Mmmm~ Aloe vera bits~ Yummmy~~

They happily paid for their food and made their way back to the car.

Aya impatiently reached for her egg sandwich in the car. Her sister bought the same egg sandwich. Aya passed a sandwich to her sister.

*bite*

"It tastes like garlic bread."

Ehhh!?

*Aya takes a bite*

"Eh? It DOES taste like garlic bread! There's no egg taste at all!"

Ehhhhhhhh!!!???

Egg sandwich that looks like it has egg but does not taste like egg sandwich at all!? Blasphemous!

How does one mess up an egg sandwich? It's just plainly mashed up hard boiled egg with mayonnaise! Plus, mayonnaise is also made of egg! This egg + egg combo can never be messed up! It's too simple to be messed up!

"I think they used a garlic butter spread on the bread. The garlic taste is too strong."

I know this flashy supaa was probably trying to be special but honestly, who uses garlic butter spread on egg sandwiches? Why can't you be like any other normal supaa bakery that uses normal butter for bread?

Serena who was staring at the sisters with an amused look was laughing incredulously while happily eating her chocolate cake.

*chew chew chew*

"Ahh. I think I just bit on an egg shell."

Aya-san, you're just not very lucky, are you?

Sunday, May 10, 2009

Aya woke up grogily today.

She rolled around in bed trying to find a good position for her sweaty back to feel the air from the fan.

WHY IS IT SO DAMN HOT!?

Finally she gave up at 11am.

She woke up and went straight to the shower.

After the shower, she wanted to head downstairs because mother said that there was food for her but she had to turn off the music player in her room first which was her laptop.

Lately, Aya has the habit of hooking her laptop up to her speakers and using the laptop to play music instead of her usual speakers plus mp3 player combo.

She left a few browsers open so she decided to do a quick routine check to her usual websites and on one of the communicating sites had a reply from Joe-kun who she was complaining to.

"yes, and i went to XXX and saw Kanjani8 calendar. but nothing that I WANTED. WHY ALL ONI BRING IN BOYBANDDSSSSSS."

Ahh, Joe-kun is definitely a guy because he dislikes boybands. Fufu~

Nothing really clicked in Aya's head until much later.

Later in the afternoon, while Aya was rolling around with her sister, she remembered about the reply that Joe-kun wrote earlier. It probably didn't register properly because Aya was still sleepy after the shower.

She told her sister about it and her sister volunteered to take her to town to get it.

Aya considered it.

Ahhh~ It's quite far and the weather is so hot she doesn't really want to leave her cool air-conditioned room. It's in town too so there might be a lot of people around. Iyaaaa~

But it's Kanjani8 yo! Your beloved Kanjani8 yo!

She finally gave in.

She also thought of inviting her fellow JE-loving friend Serena along but wondered if she'd be free since it was so sudden. Maa maa~ There's no harm in trying~ The more the merrier, right?

*coughplusIgettohaveashortplaydatewithBrattycough*

Serena delightedly agreed to tag along <3

Serena: Hai! Will tag along nya? XD Wat time will u be leavin?
Aya: Now?will b at ur place in 5-10 mins.
Serena: Ehhh! Needs time 2change. Orz.

Eh? Ehhhh!!! 5-10 minutes isn't enough time for you to change? Is there a lot that you need to do to change? XD

Maa maa~ Everything went smoothly. They even managed to find a parking spot in a place whereby they thought it would have been impossible to find. It's a blessing!

They rushed straight to the shop they wanted to go to because Serena had to get back early to have dinner with her family. Aya walked in like a pro and managed to find the calendar. Ahhh~ How beautiful~

That was when the chaos of giggles began. Serena and Aya went around the section flipping through magazines and random books even though they could not read what was written on it. They were just happy looking at pictures. You're satisfied with just that!? What odd people.

The funny thing about this shop is that most of their books are wrapped in plastic. You are allowed to have a look at the book but you need to bring it to the service counter for them to unwrap it for you and you can only browse it there.

So Serena and Aya wanted to browse a few specific copies of magazines, they brought it to the counter and started to look at it after they had the staff open it for them. They flipped through the magazine trying to decide which one should they buy. Inevitably, they made quite a bit of noise and giggled so much that the staff started giving them looks from his desk. Serena and Aya continued browsing the magazines happily totally ignoring the staff-san XD Ahh~ Ignorance IS bliss!

They finally decided and Aya ended up with more than what she had planned to buy but was evidently happy with her purchases.

Spontaneous outings can be fun~
Thank you Joe-kun for telling Aya that they had the calendar stocked.
Thank you Nee-san for taking her there although it was hot and far.
Thank you Serena for accompanying Aya.

Aya is going to sleep well with a big silly grin on her face tonight~

8:30am.

BANG BANG!

8:30am.

It's too early to wake up~!

BANG BANG BANG!!!

It was Aya's mother knocking at her door asking if she would like to go out for breakfast. Aya wakes up sleepily remembering it is Saturday and her mother doesn't work on Saturdays.

Still, 8:30am is too early for Aya who slept at past 3am yesterday.
Aya manages to roll around a bit before grumbling out at answer for her mother.
She got dressed half-awake and heads out the house with her mother.

Saturday breakfasts.

Saturday breakfasts with her mother usually means that there will be no lunch.
No lunch? And somehow her mother will end up at the same coffee shop every Saturday.
This week mother says "It's too late to go there, we'll go somewhere nearby" and totally U-turns back into the same housing area. Ahhh that cafe again! The same cafe we usually go to for dinner! We're going there for breakfast now!? Dondake!?

Aya and her mother are such regulars there that even the waiters don't take their orders. They write their orders by themselves. Huhu~ Now that's regular.

Half-way through the meal mother suggests, "Why don't you try to ask if they have a job vacancy here?". Ehhh! Working in the same cafe! Mother continued, "You eat here so often, you know the menu very well already!". It's not my fault that I know the menu here, you bring me to eat here so often. Aya then starts to imagine working there. She imagines getting SMSes from her mother saying "We'll have dinner at your workplace before I come to pick you up and go home together <3". Iya! IYAA DAAA!!!

This is jobless Aya trying to look for a decent job to fill up her free time. She went to ask at the nearby sundry shop. The pay is very very measly. The nearby pharmacy! Had no opening.

After the sleepy breakfast, Aya remembered that she needed money for the appointment with the orthodontist that is on Monday. On the way to the special machine her mother saw a sign at the nearby clinic they passed.

"Nurses wanted full-time and part-time."

Mother pointed it out to Aya. Aya says "Ahh~ A job at the clinic doesn't sound so bad~". When they went in to enquire, uwaaaa!! There were so many people waiting to see the doctor. Aya and her mother stood at the entrance.

1 minute.

2 minutes.

3 minutes.

Still nothing. There were three nurses at the counter but none of them asked anything.

Mother managed to catch the attention of one and bravely said "I'd like to make an appointment."

"The doctor is busy," she said rather impatiently.

EHHH??? But isn't that why we asked for an appointment instead!? Mother tried again.

"Is there a number I can contact then?"

*nurse gives impatient look then finally gives the clinic number*

Aya and her mother left the clinic and got into the car to head home.

"You shouldn't work there. The people are not nice," said mother. EHHHHH!!!! It's been decided so fast!!!

This is why 6 months has passed and Aya is still jobless.

Maa maa, lots of people would pay to have so much leisure time eh? Continue rolling Aya-san. Good things might come to you one day.
