Aya's life has been eventful the last two weeks :D
This is happy news for her.

It's happier news for me because I got to meet the awesome playmate, Bratty and laugh at our masters phailing moments together >:D

After having read local forums, Serena and Aya planned approximately a month beforehand to attend two events together. The first one being an ACG (anime, comics and games) convention and the second, a Japanese cultural festival.

This one will be about the said ACG event :D

Aya is a hopeless driver even though she successfully passed her driving test. She is nothing more than a 'paper driver' (paper drivers are drivers who have a driver's license but do not drive). Oye oye, what's the point of taking the license in the first place!?

Her only hope is to rely on Serena to drive them both there. However, Serena is not familiar with the area where the convention is being held. They tried their utmost best to make preparations so that they would not get lost on the way.

*Scoffs at their futile attempts*

Unfortunately, neither of them have handy GPS systems to guide them there. The only help they'd be able to get is by using a handy website that draws a map for you all the way from your house to the event venue. Aya was incharge of getting that very importat map printed for their little excursion.

They had originally planned a week prior to the event to leave at 10am in the morning as the event starts at 11am but just the day before the event, under unforeseen circumstances, Serena's morning had to be taken up by some other more pressing matter. Thus, the departure time was postponed to 1pm. Maa, it didn't matter too much since Aya and Serena aren't into much anime, comics or games nowadays.

The only thing they were looking forward to at the convention was an exhibition of...

pretty...

boys...

uhh...

yeah.

Last minutely, Serena's brother and a few of otouto-san's friends decided to tag along. So it took quite a while before Serena came over to pick Aya to leave. Otouto-san's friends decided to drive a separate car although they did not know the way to the venue. Serena suggested that they photocopied the map that Aya had printed out for their reference. After all that was cleared up, finally, shuupatsuu!!!

Serena's car was leading the way while otouto-san's friends were to follow behind. With that said, one would obviously remember the car registration number of the one is to follow right? That's only natural isn't it? Especially when the map which was photocopied did not really come in useful because all the details on the map could not be seen!

Ja ja jaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnn!!!

Very quickly, otouto-san's friends followed a car that was... not the car Serena was driving. Serena spotted their car in front of hers. USO! OYE OYE OYE! Don't be simply following look alike cars oye!

A turn was coming up--- but otouto-san's friends were following the wrong car and did not make the turn...

Otouto-san calls the friends up and says "You were following the wrong car..."
Serena was literally orz-ing her car seat because she didn't really know where she was and that made it almost impossible to be able to guide them back to the correct route.

Aya sat quietly at the back most of the time after she had pass the printed map to otouto-san to help Serena navigate their way there while she was driving. She had very little confidence in her map reading skills thinking that elder people would probably do a better job at it. Iya iya, that was quite entertaining in itself.

Half way there and otouto-san isn't being of much help because he apparently can't read maps. He insisted that we followed road signs instead. It was then Aya realised that otouto-san was reading the map backwards...

EHHHHH!?

USO DESHOU!?

Maa, getting there was relatively straightforward and as according to the map-- which Aya could read a little.

Another slight problem was that they did not know which was to the convention hall from the parking lot.

There were lots of signs on the road to the venue.

At the venue, there were lots of signs for parking spaces.

But at the parking spaces, there weren't any signs to the hall at which the event was being held!!!

Walking with a bit of intuition and then following small groups of people lead them to the hall! Yatta! We reached safely!

A little while later, otouto-san left to reunite with his friends who got lost on the way but managed to find their way there eventually.

Serena and Aya spotted the exhibition booth that they came for rather quickly and zoooooomed straight for all the kirakira looking boys.

Serena was proudly wearing her official T-shirt and people who were manning the booth noticed it instantly! Uwah! The power of fangirls are great!

From there on, it was a lot of flailing with random fellow fangirls at high pitches and laughing non-stop. Spare meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Maa, they met nice people which shared their love for their precious pretty boys. They were rather impressive too with their huge huge collection of official merchandise and years of fangirling.

Aya felt a little inferior to them as this would only be her second year in the fandom come November. What matters most is the love yo! Don't worry!

After having squealing for quite a long time, Serena and Aya decided to go outside the hall to see if there was anything interesting to drink or eat. They were thirsty after all that fangirling. They found a nice bench to sit on and there was a nice breeze blowing while they refreshed themselves with cold drinks.

After that they decided to leave the event because they had to be back before dinner.

This was the most epic phailed thing I've ever seen.

They couldn't find the exit. They drove a whole round the big big buildings but they couldn't find the exit!? What are you doing!? Taking a tour here of all places!?

The exit sign was placed unstrategically and the turning to the exit was abrupt.

Another phail.

They got out but didn't know how to get on the highway to get back ORZ

Aya had only printed a map on how to get there but not one to get back home!!!

You know, girls, roads don't always work both ways. You can't simply read a map backwards. Actually, you even had a problem reading a map normally and you want to attempt to read a map backwards!?

They went round for abit with otouto-san randomly assuming that the building looked familiar and that he saw them on the way to the venue.

ORZ!

That. Is. Not. Helping.

Otouto-san's friends called otouto-san and said that they think they know where we made a wrong turn so they led the way instead.

Ahh! We're on the correct road again. Thank goodness!

Demo, after we got on the right road again, otouto-san's friends insisted that Serena's car lead again. Is that such a wise idea when no one in the car really knows where they're going!?

They got lost for a bit again but with a little luck, they managed to make it safely back to the highway and it was smooth sailing from then on.

Here's a very valuable lesson: PRINT A 'HOW TO GET BACK' MAP NEXT TIMEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

The End.
